The Son Came Out...

The weather can't make up it's mind....

On my walk yesterday it started out sunny and 400 hundred degrees....then it started raining and as it did....
I passed a boy healed from brain tumor playing golf with a big smile on his face. I am reminded immediately- miracles happen.

The Son came out. I kept walking.
raindrops started again....

I checked in on Twitter, where the majority of my news comes from.
The first Tweet that came up on my page "When you go through the waters, I will not let you drown."

The Son came out.
Raindrops started again....
I kept walking...I started to check my email....
First one...Max Lucado Devotional for the day..."I am with you in the storm"

The Son came out.

Raindrops start again....
I switch to music....too hard to read and walk at the same time....(songs randomly set to shuffle)
first song up....."I'll Praise You in The Storm"

So I did.

The Son came out.

God, Thank You for teaching me that The Son shines brightest when it is storming.

Rollercoasters...

"It’s a never-ending ride on a runaway roller coaster you’re a permanent passenger... tied down, buckled up, chained to your seat. The menacing vehicle snaps you at abrupt corners. It jerks you up impossible summits. It propels you, crashing down incredible valleys. It’s . . . anxiety. You’re trapped. The more you worry, the more helpless you feel. God knew that anxiety could do this to you. That’s why he said don’t worry. . . come to me and rest. . . in other words, trust me.
It’s the only way to hit the brakes and bring anxiety to a halt." ~Max Lucado

God, Please help us to learn how to "Hit the Brakes" We must remember to "Be Still and Know that YOU Are God."

Patience...

“God is being patient with you” 2 Peter 3:9

Why does He continue to offer this patience...sooooo freely, over and over..day after day...night after night. I asked Him.

He Answered, because, "God is Love." 1 John 4:8b

and above all else, "Love is Patient " 1 Corinthians 13:a

I am grateful and amazed at how many specific answers God has for us in His Word.

God, Thank you for so many opportunities today to learn this.

1 Timothy 1:7...

Before the world began....God had this in mind.
Fear is not of Him.

Never.
Ever.
He desperately wants us to know He is with us....and therefore, we can feel powerful and courageous.

God, Thank You for being Emmanuel....constantly.

Father Knows Best...

It never hurts to ask...as long as we remember, only God, knows best.

"My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, says the Lord,
and my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine."
-Isaiah 55:8

God, Thank You for answering prayers according to Your Will....and not our's.

Mel and Judgement....

Mel.

I am appalled by his words....as God is appalled by mine.

I am shocked by his anger...as God is shocked by mine.

I am dismayed by his repetitive failures...as God is dismayed by mine.

In a previous apology Mel said, "I acted like a person completely out of control. I disgraced myself and my family with my behavior and for that I am truly sorry. I have battled with the disease of alcoholism for all of my adult life and profoundly regret my horrific relapse.”
Judgment - We all deserve it....just not from each other.

God, Thank You for Your forgiveness and patience with me....with each of us
.

Hairdos and Hotlines...

Apparently Dr Dexter, isn't real into it.
No, seriously, I heard from a very close source...He Ain't Into That.
However, if you wear a red velvet smoking jacket and sit in the study with Father Bob's pipe...you might hear "Tiny Bubbles" out of his pipe, if you drip the right stuff in there.
Although Doris, Edna and Judy, of the non-Grammy award winning, The Faith Tones...don't make a statement either way...they definitely are into a few things....one of which is Clairol...the other- neckerchiefs and polyester.

The great news for us is....whether we are into it or not...Big Jer has the number to heaven.
Not just any number...like line 5 or 6...but the actual hot line!
This is going to be very handy and helpful because there are alot of people I would love to speak with.
God, Thank You for all kinds of people that serve and love You.

God Wins...

In case you needed a reminder today....
God ALWAYS wins.

It doesn't matter what we see...or feel.
There are no exceptions.

God, Thank You for always watching out for me and for all of us. Thank You for doing whatever it takes to prevail.

Cups Running Over...

In Israel we spent some time with a Bedouin family in their home.Their hospitality was of Biblical proportions.
They served us bread and "coffee."
Well, they said it was coffee....I am still not convinced that is was actually
coffee.
Possible a very distant relative of coffee...this was more a cross between mud and coffee...and more mud.
But I digress...The moment you take a sip of this (and you HAD to in order to be polite)...they filled it right back up. Kind of like that one Chinese restaurant, where the moment your tea is perfect, the waiter comes over and fills up your cup...ruining the perfect mixture of lemon and Sweet and Low.

Sorry, back to the Bedouin tent...
It was as if the cup would never run out...they wanted you to enjoy it and know you under their watch, you were not going to lack anything.
The Hebrew term for this action, translates into, "My Cup Runneth Over."

As I remember it, The Biblical principal behind this is....
you will not run out.
The Moment you partake or accept any of it....it refills itself. Or Rather He Refills it for you.
God's Love...His Blessings and His Grace...will continue to pour out on you.
On Me.
On Us.
I am blessed beyond measure...
The cup of my entire life overflows...and He is The Pourer of each and every drop of it.

Thank You God, for all of our overflowing cups. May each of us be aware Who is doing all the pouring.

Unpopulated...

So Hurricane Alex finally made land fall on an area of UNPOPULATED land in Mexico....

Unpopulated....what are the odds of that? Is it an accident? A coincidence?

I think not.

God, Thank You not only for Your Omnipotence and Omnipresence, but also for Your concern about EACH and EVERY detail in our lives.
