Tel Gezer in Israel
These stones tell us that something significant has happened in this place.
The Hebrew word for "standing stones" is massebah and it means "to set up."
Although these stones are tall and quite impressive...their meaning is lost because there is no one to speak for them.Peter describes believers as, "you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." ~1 Peter 2:5
Our lives must be different in order to be effective...otherwise we are nothing more than the silent stones of Gezer.
So, in order to be living stones- don't we need to live our lives in a way that shapes our;Offices, movie theaters, schools, football fields, texts, emails, homes, churches, restaurants, conversations, families, dates, reunions, facebook and relationships.
Where are you standing today?
God Thank you for the reminder to be a living stone in all areas of my life.
In His Dust,
God Thank you for the reminder to be a living stone in all areas of my life.
In His Dust,
DCC
