Thy Word...
One thing we learned in Israel was that light was precious....especially in Biblical times.
When they walked at night...they had a small light, (similar to a candle), attached to the front of their sandal.
A flickering candlelight at the top of your sandals, of course, would only show you the very next step. This was all you had in the middle of nowhere. No street lights, reflections from suburbans driving by...just moonlight, stars and you.
That's it? The light equivalent of a birthday candle!?!
Apparently, God thought and still thinks...that is enough.
So shouldn't we?
One step at a time.
Grace and Peace,
DCC

One step at a time is sometimes the hardest thing to accomplish. Even though I know I am supposed to trust God to lead me, and not try to see what lies beyond that next step- it's hard to let go of that control. It's really not up to me in the end. You've helped me remember that today, and every day, I need to pray that my heart is content with God's plan for me.
