My feet give up
For 12 days life has taken a hiatus-
In celebration of Texas independence-
San Antonio shuts down and surrounds itself with "royalty" and festiivity
There are kings, queens, duchesses and pages-
Being born and raised in The shadow of The Alamo, I have always enjoyed and loved Fiesta...
some years more so than others-
This year, I was able to get a front row view of this fabulous city and it's people has to offer.
by riding with the king.
We saw all different cultures- all different ages-
we rubbed shoulders with everyone from senators to Special Olympics.
We shared cold beers with 4 star generals and homeless people.
We marveled at duchess trains and dressed up dogs.
We had police escorts everywhere we went...which made for some nice traveling.
We didn't stop at lights or stop signs...the speed limit was null and void....traffic didn't matter...
You know what I was reminded of?
We're all the same.
"We all need a king to see it. he is Lord of lords and King of kings and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.” ~Revelation 17:14
"God, The blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords."~ 1 Timothy 6:15
God, Thank You for a week of celebration and laughter- I know full well, "all good and perfect gifts come from You."
In His Dust,
DCC
