Jesus is Cool...

I don't know about you, but I don't think I could sit down and have a heart to heart with the people in this picture-

To be honest, some of His Followers do give me the creeps...especially some of those on TV.


Upon reflection, I realize, my judgement, must give Jesus the creeps.


God, please teach me how to be an approachable disciple. Someone that draws other people to Him and doesn't judge others that are trying to do the same thing.

The Promise...

Yesterday, I was contacted by different people with concerns about...earthquakes, fires, miscarriages, cancer, alcoholism, doctor's appointments,mental illness, theft, finances and fear.

God's response-do not think for one moment that HE is not still on the Throne!Remember the rainbow? God's promise for provision, protection and hope-

He meant it forever....not just the first sunny day on an ark.

"For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" 2 Timothy 1:17

God, may we remember, the rainbow is not just pretty colors, it has great meaning and promise for us all. All thanks be unto You!

Dive in...

The long awaited rains

My heart is racing and my knees are weak

As I walk to the edge,

I know there is no turning back

Once my feet have left the ledge

And in the rush I hear a voice,

That's telling me its time to take the leap of faith

So here I go,

I'm diving in

Im going deep in over my head I want to be

Caught in the rush

lost in the flow in over my head I want to go

The rivers deep, the rivers wide, the river's water is alive

So sink or swim Im diving in

But we will never know the awesome power Of the grace of God

Until we let ourselves get swept away

Into this holy flood

First Trophy...

Working for your first trophy is a very serious business

you have to have fun...

all the while keeping your head in the game

and when the coveted prize arrives,

you must stop what you are doing and enjoy it.

Then, you gotta get back in the game...

But remember we are not designed to run alone

Every once in a while...

when you succeed, God "gets you a milkshake"

Roller Coaster...

From where I watched, there were no worries.
She was safe....as was her baby doll.

However, from where she sat, it was a little rocky and scary.

Isn't that how God looks upon our concerns, our worries, our fears.

There we roll along...worrying, unnecessarily...as He watches and knows there is no cause for worry. He is still on the throne and in charge.

Thank you God for your constant watching-please remind us that you never take your eyes off us. There is not one second that we are not being watched, ever so carefully by You.

It has been interesting...when people ask me...I am quick to tell them what it says....

So, in the "Got Milk" campaign, the symbol was the black and white sign-

and a white upper lip- when you saw that, you knew....They HAD MILK.

As Christians what is our sign? What do they see on me or on you.

What shows the world...we got it?

I am so quick to forget, that I am marked as His.

I pray that on me, they see LOVE above all else...

that they see PATIENCE...that they see FAITH...and HOPE.

Happy Peanut...

So this is Kate- and yes, she is always this happy-
As a matter of fact, this is how fired up she was, just to head into her hot backyard and get strapped into this buggy!

The Foundry...

So, I stopped by our new coffee shop "The Foundry."

Not being a coffee drinker, I was concerned about what I would get there....and I was greeted, by my dear old friend- Diet Coke. (Which I consider the breakfast of champions.)
I was pleasantly surprised at how handy this place might become for me. There is so much to do there...

bring your kids!

get served with style!
get served by a stud!

Starbucks WHO?!?!

Come by and take a picture of some flowers...while people actually work in the background.

Stop by and write a sermon, or act like you you are working...
